The volume controls each tap or split their respective pickups depending on the internal dip switch positions (push -pull). The neck tone makes the neck pickup out of phase in the middle position (push-pull). The bridge tone selects the outer or inner pickup coils in the middle position when the pickups are split (push-pull). There are internal dip switches in the control cavity on the circuit board for tap or split pickup selections, and high pass filters for each pickup.
